Species reported at Botts Pool include common and mirror carp, bream and skimmers, perch, roach, rudd and tench.
Koi or ornamental carp, chub and gudgeon have also been reported. Fish stocks and conditions change, so catches are never guaranteed.

Ticket and licence are separate
A fishery day ticket is permission to fish the venue. It does not replace a rod licence. National freshwater rules and Midlands regional byelaws continue to apply.
Children and newcomers
Children can enjoy coarse fishing with suitable adult supervision and safe behaviour near deep water. Check the fishery's current arrangements before visiting with a junior angler.
Bring the essentials
Bring your licence where required, current ticket or payment method, appropriate tackle, landing net, unhooking equipment, soft mat for larger fish, weather protection, drinking water and a way to take all litter home.

- Use a suitable landing net and a soft unhooking surface for larger fish.
- Keep time out of water to a minimum.
- Return fish carefully and promptly, with extra care in hot weather.

Wet nets, mats, footwear and other equipment can unintentionally carry invasive species and disease between waters. Check equipment, clean it thoroughly, and dry it for as long as possible before using it elsewhere.
